  4.     Medieval Empires is distributed as shareware:  only if you like the program do you pay for it.  Unregistered users may play and enjoy the 1100 scenario as much as they like, to get a feel for the game and to determine if they'd like to register.  If they do choose to register, they will receive the latest version of the game, with all scenarios and features enabled.
